First Impressions

We landed in Heathrow Airport today, and Ruby had been waiting at the airport for us since 7am.. we didn't see her until about 8:30 I assume, but she wasn't bothered by it, which was very nice of her. After taking the tube to her house, we figured out how to use the pay phone and called her so she could meet up with us and actually walk us to her house (she and her bf Max took all of our luggage in their car).

In the middle of the day we all passed out, jamie me liz ruby nad max.. and slept for six hours! I hope I can sleep tonight though, becuase tomorrow we are going to take a tour on the double decker buses and see London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, etc. At night we are planning on having a party at Ruby's house, and then walking to see the fireworks. Of course, we are five hours ahead here, so maybe we will celebrate twice, and give the US a call at like 5 am London time.

We keep making very silly mistakes, like running into people on the street and not being able to open the phone booths, but Ruby and Max just laugh. And we bought our first legal drink ever at Oxford Arms, a pub in Camden. For dinner we ate at a japanese restaurant that was really, really, good. I think the waitor was a little annoyed with us, but luckily we had Ruby and Max there as well so it wasn't too bad.
